human just announced its new expanded advisory board, bringing on industry leaders from technology and dating.

Elliott Garms, is the CEO and co-founder of humanpredictions, a tech recruiting firm. Previously, he co-founded tech recruiting firm HubFunnel in 2011, a wooden wallet business called Grainstack in 2012. After a yearlong stint at Groupon, he co-founded the Chicago campus of software developing crash course Dev Bootcamp. He left that venture after test prep juggernaut Kaplan acquired it for an undisclosed price.

“Dawn is already a proven and successful business founder. Her vision for human is something I believe in and something she's experienced firsthand. She has already validated her idea with hundreds of people who are searching for a new solution in the dating app market where most offerings are very similar to one another,” says Garms.

Daniel Herrold, is a partner at the Stan Johnson Company and has had a nearly 20-year career in commercial real estate before becoming a dating advocate and dating influencer. He’s the co-founder of Divorced Over Forty, a community with over 10,000 strong that spans over 50 cities and 7 countries and has amassed a following of over 100,000 across social media seeking out his dating insights and advice. He also runs the Intentional Dating Club, a private paid Facebook group with exclusive access to Daniel and other industry leading experts. Speaking of dating industry leaders, he has assembled over 100 dating leaders from around the world to share expertise.

“I am really excited to have the opportunity to serve as an advisor to Dawn and support her vision of human. The dating space is incredibly challenging, and I believe in her vision of how to best match men and women seeking love in this unique way,” says Herrold.

Felice Rudolph, affectionally described as a “velvet hammer”, is a supply chain veteran. She is the CEO of Bronze Insights, an executive coaching firm, launched shortly after leaving her role at Asurion as VP of Business Services. Felice has worked as a railroad manager for Union Pacific Railroad in rural Nebraska, former CEO of a trucking company, Spirit Logistics, and has had a long, steady and ambitious career sitting at the helm in tech and transportation.

“I am honored to be included on this exciting journey of bringing the human vision to life. My spiritual beliefs state that ‘two are better than one.’ We as a leadership team are dedicated to helping others find their #2 and enjoying a new phase of life together,” says Rudolph. 

Dawn Cornelius founded human officially last year but began dreaming and building the idea while in business school. While at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University in late 2018, Cornelius had an aha moment during a colleague’s presentation on artificial intelligence, combined with her dating experiences, creating workarounds for what she calls “ill-equipped solutions,” her deep expertise in market research and consumer insights and sprinkle in discoveries from an operations class – and voila, the concept for human was born. After working on the idea nights, weekends and early mornings while still employed full-time at the chamber, juggling motherhood, and completing her executive MBA, Cornelius jumped into startup life May 2021 to raise capital and build human full-time. No stranger to entrepreneurship, human is Cornelius’ 5th startup.

“This advisory board of brilliant and thoughtful leaders with experience across tech and dating are exactly what we need at this juncture in our company building,” says Cornelius. “But, most importantly, I’m thrilled to welcome Elliott, Daniel and Felice because of their grace, commitment, character, their passion for what we’re building and compassion for people finding meaningful connections.
