NASHVILLE, Tenn. (August 12, 2022) – After months of screening, interviewing, and diligence, human has been selected as one of 12 of the most promising startups to join the inaugural class of the Build In Tulsa Techstars Accelerator, run in partnership with Build In Tulsa.

human’s mission is to change the future of how people find their person, initially for love/romance with future applications underway. human is the first dating platform powered by advanced AI that predicts a user's best potential match based on actual behavior enabling meaningful connections.

Techstars is a global investment business that provides access to capital, one-on-one mentorship, a worldwide network and customized programming for early-stage entrepreneurs. Build In Tulsa is an organization with a mission to build the infrastructure for Black multi-generational wealth creation through tech and entrepreneurship.

Building on the legacy of Black Wall Street, Dawn Cornelius, founder and ceo of human, makes history by being part of Techstars’ first accelerator comprised of mostly Black CEOs. “This moment, becoming a Techstars portfolio company, is significant in the life of human and for me personally. I’m excited to fulfill our bold mission of changing the future of how people find their person while also making history,” says Cornelius.

In addition to receiving a $120k investment from Techstars, over the next 12 weeks, human will rapidly scale operations, customers, and access to capital, with the help of an amazing mentor network and partner organization, Build in Tulsa. human, along with the inaugural class, will showcase their progress in a Demo Day the week of November 3, 2022.
