if anything, over the last many years, i have learned the value of connection. i've learned that people need and desire closeness. i've learned that we all desire to be heard, seen, understood and to know we matter to someone or something in addition to ourselves. this knowing is personal for me and grows from my birth story (share more another time). and, it has been a critical thread throughout my entire life.

over the last eight years as an avid dating app user, i discovered many of the inadequacies and flaws in online dating and dating apps. i realized that in many ways, these products actually disabled people from being heard, seen or understood.

about three and a half years ago, i set out on a journey to solve this problem faced by millions of dating app users, like you and me, who experienced the superficial, unsafe and dishonest nature of online dating. that's why I founded human. i knew there had to be a better way, so i created it.

our pilot is rather scrappy and a simulation of what will come. our mobile app and the full experience we hope to introduce to you this summer isn't ready yet. we need more resources to get there but rest assured we will get there because of believers and supporters like you! but, the bones and building blocks of our technology are in place and we're ready to help our users find their "forever person."
